Forays

Forays are likely to be at 9000' and above- where weather changes quickly. Wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes and bring water, warm clothes, rain gear, sunscreen and insect repellant. You also might want to bring a snack, hand lens, pencil and paper bags. (DON'T BRING PLASTIC BAGS FOR COLLECTING MUSHROOMS.) All forays begin and end at the Crested Butte Community School (at the entrance to Town). Transportation to and from foray sites will be provided. Car pooling is always encouraged. Try to be at events 5-10 minutes before they are scheduled to begin.

Workshops

Through out the Festival a number of educational opportunities are available ranging from exploring the uses of mushrooms in medicine, wild mushroom identification seminars, photography workshops, and of course wild mushroom tasting.
